Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer

• The role is for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the engineering team, focusing on SRE principles and practices.
• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and efficient systems, defining and tracking Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), conducting blameless post-incident reviews, driving automation of operational tasks, and developing runbooks for incident response.
• The engineer will work with software engineers to design systems for reliability and participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot critical issues.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a similar discipline is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS services and strong knowledge of container orchestration is necessary.
• At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes is required.
• A deep understanding of observability principles and tools, incident management, and postmortem analysis is essential.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), chaos engineering, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions is needed.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, etc.) for automation and tooling is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable with messaging systems (SNS, SQS, etc.) and have good communication skills in English.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
