The role is for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the engineering team, focusing on SRE principles and practices.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining reliable, scalable, and efficient systems, defining and tracking Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), conducting blameless post-incident reviews, driving automation of operational tasks, and developing runbooks for incident response.
The engineer will work with software engineers to design systems for reliability and participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot critical issues.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a similar discipline is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS services and strong knowledge of container orchestration is necessary.
At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes is required.
A deep understanding of observability principles and tools, incident management, and postmortem analysis is essential.
Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform), chaos engineering, and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions is needed.
Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java, etc.) for automation and tooling is required.
Candidates should be comfortable with messaging systems (SNS, SQS, etc.) and have good communication skills in English.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
