Description:

Sanity.io is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to work remotely in Europe.
The SRE will ensure that the solutions built are scalable, fast, safe to deploy, and inspiring to use.
The role involves close collaboration with development teams to design and build infrastructure that supports the goal of being the best platform for authoring, processing, and distributing content worldwide in real time.
Responsibilities include planning and implementing a global platform for delivering software as a service, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex distributed systems, ensuring observability, and participating in on-call rotation.
The technology stack includes Kubernetes, Prometheus, ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, NATS, Kong, and Google Cloud Platform.

Requirements:

Candidates must be based in Europe.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as part of an SRE on-call rotation is required.
Experience with SRE/DevOps tools, processes, and culture is essential.
An analytical approach to designing, diagnosing, and optimizing infrastructure is necessary.
Experience managing scalable, highly available, cloud-based applications is required.
Candidates should have experience managing and optimizing databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code, particularly with Terraform, is needed.
Programming experience in Python, Go, and Typescript is required.
Experience building CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
Familiarity with an observability stack, such as Prometheus, is required.
Candidates should be comfortable dealing with incidents and outages and possess a thoughtful communication style for high-pressure situations.
An open but considered approach to new technologies is expected.
