Description:

  • Auros is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to support their high-performance infrastructure for trading digital assets.
  • The role involves building, deploying, and supporting systems that execute millions of trades on CeFi and DeFi venues globally.
  • Responsibilities include participating in an on-call roster to support trading operations, maintaining and improving global infrastructure, and enhancing security and performance.
  • The engineer will engage with other teams to improve DevOps processes and develop internal tools and automation.
  • Application tuning and troubleshooting are key aspects of the role, along with active participation in trading and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaboration with developers, traders, and other staff is essential to achieve the firm's goals.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have experience managing and optimizing Linux systems in a high-performance 24 x 7 environment.
  • Proficiency in cloud management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is required.
  • A strong background in container management, deployment, and orchestration is necessary, with strong Docker skills and Kubernetes experience being advantageous.
  • Knowledge of managing configuration at scale and experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices are essential.
  • Familiarity with application and infrastructure instrumentation using tools like Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and eBPF is required.
  • While not a network engineer role, knowledge of networking management and routing in cloud and global SD-WAN environments is a plus.
  • Experience in the cryptocurrency industry and familiarity with blockchain RPC infrastructure is beneficial, along with a strong interest in cryptocurrency and finance.
  • Candidates should have experience with low-level performance tuning across physical hardware, cloud instances, and network latency.
  • Proficiency in Python and Bash is a must, with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript or Go being a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security and IAM policies, SIEM and threat management experience, and understanding of network security and zero-trust principles are required.
  • Candidates must know how to secure Mac and Linux endpoints, and knowledge of software supply chain security and vulnerability scanning within CI/CD pipelines is desired.
