Description:
- Zscaler is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Site Reliability Engineering team in San Jose, California.
- The role involves collaborating with Software Engineering and Infrastructure teams to develop monitoring solutions.
- Responsibilities include managing patch deployments, upgrades, and administrative tools, as well as monitoring applications and services.
- The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will participate in on-call rotations, troubleshoot problems, and communicate solutions effectively.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a related role within a SaaS organization.
- Proficiency in a programming language (e.g., Python, Go) and scripting languages (e.g., Bash).
- High-level understanding of networking protocols and components like HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, ICMP, OSI Model, Subnetting, and Load Balancing.
- Willingness to work after hours/weekends for application releases and deployments.
