Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer, Federal Cloud

Description:

• The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will join the Cloud Operations organization at Zscaler and work on the federal cloud platform.
• Responsibilities include deploying and managing the system engineering automation platform for on-prem and AWS clouds.
• The role involves managing, deploying, and troubleshooting embedded agents on Linux and Unix systems.
• Automating blue-green deployments to reduce platform downtime and developing monitoring solutions and health-checks.
• Acting as the point of contact to assist other engineers in building automation for the platform and being the first responder for platform incidents.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Linux systems and scripting.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL replication, pubsub, and backups.
• Understanding of Nginx, managing web services, RPC, and HTTP APIs.
• Experience with the TCP/IP stack and troubleshooting issues.
• Knowledge of building and deploying Go microservices.
