Description:

  • The role is for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Nivoda, a B2B diamond and gemstones marketplace.
  • The mission is to build a world-class online marketplace that delivers reliability, performance, and value to help businesses thrive.
  • The SRE will work closely with the site reliability engineering team to design, implement, and maintain robust system architectures, monitoring, and incident management processes.
  • Responsibilities include assisting in system design and architecture, developing monitoring strategies, participating in incident management, optimizing system performance, and capacity planning.
  • The role involves using infrastructure as code tools, defining and measuring service-level objectives, automating tasks, ensuring security and compliance, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and maintaining documentation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 2+ years of experience in a Site Reliability, DevOps, or related role.
  • Previous experience with AWS is required.
  • Strong experience with Linux system administration, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker) is necessary.
  • A strong technical background in cloud computing, distributed systems, and software engineering is essential.
  • Familiarity with automation and IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines is required.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly are important.
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, etc.) is needed.
  • Candidates should be familiar with a programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Bash).
  • Nice to have qualifications include AWS certifications, database management experience (SQL/NoSQL), knowledge of security best practices, and knowledge of system performance monitoring and tuning.
