Description:
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to work on our core Infrastructure and Security team.
The role involves designing, building, running, improving, and scaling the infrastructure that engineering and data teams use.
Duties include the development, testing, and maintenance of our serving and data platforms using cloud products, open source tools, and internal applications.
The position blends software development and operations to continuously automate our environments.
The engineer should be able to build high-quality, scalable solutions for a variety of problems.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure based on Kubernetes, Redshift, and additional AWS services.
The engineer will help product teams quickly build out MVP products to test new solutions on the market.
Maintaining and developing monitoring and alerting solutions to improve the on-call experience is also required.
The engineer will assist product developers in debugging and triaging production issues.
They will be the first line of defense for operational environments, triaging and resolving problems as they occur, and will be on an on-call rotation.
The role involves designing and scaling platform and data architectures to sustain rapid user growth.
The engineer will level up teams through pairing, code review, and mentoring.
Sharing extensive experience with industry best practices in software development is expected.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred, or equivalent related experience is required.
At least 5+ years of overall software, data, deployments, and platform infrastructure experience is necessary.
Experience with building and/or serving REST APIs using Go or a similar language is ideal.
Familiarity with Relational Databases, SQL, and ORM technologies is required.
Strong overall Linux knowledge is essential.
DevOps experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud computing platforms like AWS is necessary.
Experience with deployment/provisioning tools like Terraform, Helm, and Ansible is required.
Experience implementing and maintaining observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, NewRelic, Grafana, or Loki is necessary.
Experience in ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and open-source tools such as DBT is ideal.
Proficiency in building and maintaining large-scale data warehousing technologies such as Redshift is required.
Benefits:
The compensation range for the role is between 4,600 - 9,000 USD monthly.
