Remote Senior Site Reliability Engineer (.Net)

Description:

• Employment Hero is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Payroll team.
• The role involves supporting a platform that automates payroll processes for businesses, saving them time and effort.
• Responsibilities include working on both the application layer and infrastructure, driving improvements to the Payroll system, and managing cloud infrastructure.
• Weekly tasks will involve collaborating with various teams, troubleshooting issues in the .NET codebase, designing strategies to enhance deployment and uptime, and proactively monitoring system performance.
• The engineer will analyze metrics such as MTTR and MTBF to design initiatives for improvement and support test automation coverage.
• The position offers a fully remote and flexible work environment, encouraging the use of tools like Github Copilot and generative AI.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have strong C# and .NET development skills and be eager to engage in hands-on coding.
• Experience in managing cloud-based applications, specifically AWS, is required.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform is necessary.
• Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines, as well as Gitops workflows, is essential.
• Strong communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently across different time zones.
• Collaboration with architects and security experts to implement best practices in application and infrastructure security is expected.
