Description:

  • As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Employment Hero, you will be part of a team dedicated to simplifying and enhancing employment processes for businesses globally.
  • You will work within the Payroll team, supporting a platform that automates payroll processes and saves time for businesses.
  • Responsibilities include working on both the application layer and infrastructure, driving improvements to the Payroll system, managing cloud infrastructure, handling deployments, ensuring security, availability, and monitoring.
  • You will collaborate with various teams within the Payroll product, work on the .NET codebase, design and test strategies to enhance deployment time and up-time, proactively monitor performance, analyze and improve mean time to resolution (MTTR) and mean time between failures (MTBF), and support test automation coverage.
  • The role offers the opportunity to accelerate your career by working with smart individuals across the UK and APAC regions in a fully remote and flexible environment, utilizing tools like Github Copilot and other generative AI.

Requirements:

  • Strong C# and .NET development skills for hands-on coding.
  • Experience in untangling legacy systems within a scaling organization.
  • Proficiency in running cloud-based applications, particularly using AWS.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
  • Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines, as well as Gitops workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams across different time zones.
  • Ability to work independently and with colleagues such as architects and security experts to implement best application and infrastructure security practices.
