Description:
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Employment Hero, you will be part of a team dedicated to simplifying and enhancing employment processes for businesses globally.
You will work within the Payroll team, supporting a platform that automates payroll processes and saves time for businesses.
Responsibilities include working on both the application layer and infrastructure, driving improvements to the Payroll system, managing cloud infrastructure, handling deployments, ensuring security, availability, and monitoring.
You will collaborate with various teams within the Payroll product, work on the .NET codebase, design and test strategies to enhance deployment time and up-time, proactively monitor performance, analyze and improve mean time to resolution (MTTR) and mean time between failures (MTBF), and support test automation coverage.
The role offers the opportunity to accelerate your career by working with smart individuals across the UK and APAC regions in a fully remote and flexible environment, utilizing tools like Github Copilot and other generative AI.
Requirements:
Strong C# and .NET development skills for hands-on coding.
Experience in untangling legacy systems within a scaling organization.
Proficiency in running cloud-based applications, particularly using AWS.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
Understanding of continuous integration and delivery pipelines, as well as Gitops workflows.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with teams across different time zones.
Ability to work independently and with colleagues such as architects and security experts to implement best application and infrastructure security practices.
