Description:

Algolia is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (IC4) for its Platform as a Service (PaaS) team in Paris, France.
The role focuses on enhancing scalable infrastructure with an emphasis on CI/CD, Observability, and application hosting.
Responsibilities include building and optimizing systems for platform efficiency and reliability, mentoring junior engineers, and collaborating across teams.
The position involves transitioning legacy systems to a modern Kubernetes-based architecture and contributing to long-term infrastructure strategies.
Key tasks include contributing to CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance, improving observability of critical systems, managing Kubernetes-based architecture, optimizing system performance, mentoring mid-level engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements:

Strong programming skills in Golang and Python, with knowledge of Ruby being a plus.
Hands-on experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
Experience in designing and implementing monitoring and observability frameworks with strong troubleshooting skills in production environments.
Proven experience in managing Kubernetes-based architectures and working with public cloud providers such as GCP, AWS, or Microsoft Azure.
Expertise in designing, building, and operating distributed systems at scale, focusing on reliability and performance.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and effectively with team members.
Excellent communication and organizational skills to convey complex technical issues to diverse audiences.
