Description:
Jobgether is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to work remotely from Europe for one of their clients.
The role involves designing, maintaining, and optimizing reliable and scalable systems.
Responsibilities include tracking performance metrics, improving system reliability through automation, and ensuring best practices for incident management.
The engineer will leverage expertise in cloud services, container orchestration, and system performance to enhance infrastructure efficiency and robustness.
Collaboration with engineering teams is essential to design systems built for high availability.
The position is ideal for someone passionate about building and maintaining resilient systems for seamless operations at scale.
Key accountabilities include developing and maintaining efficient systems, defining and tracking Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs), conducting blameless post-incident reviews, automating operational tasks, and participating in on-call rotations for critical issue resolution.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or a similar discipline is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS services and container orchestration tools is necessary.
At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes is required.
Strong knowledge of observability tools and principles, including monitoring, logging, and tracing, is essential.
Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code is needed.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, Go, or Java, is required.
Experience in incident management, postmortem analysis, and risk mitigation is necessary.
Familiarity with messaging systems like SNS and SQS, as well as experience with CI/CD tools, is expected.
Fluency in English with strong communication skills is mandatory.
