Description:
Coalfire is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join their Cloud Services team, which can be a remote position located in the United States.
The role involves working within major public clouds and utilizing automation to ensure the reliability and scalability of SaaS products for large enterprises and government agencies.
Responsibilities include collaborating with engineering teams, monitoring and maintaining secure cloud-hosted infrastructure, and implementing automated orchestration and configuration management techniques.
The engineer will create and maintain codebases for automated orchestration, define processes for CI/CD infrastructure, and optimize client environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
The position requires configuring cloud-based tools, managing costs, security, and compliance, and responding to environment-specific alerts.
The engineer will also participate in on-call rotations, lead incident response documentation, and maintain detailed diagrams of client cloud architecture.
Requirements:
A BS or higher in a related Information Technology field or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in 24x7x365 production operations and supporting cloud operations in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible is necessary.
Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration solutions like Kubernetes and Docker, and ticketing tools such as Jira and ServiceNow is required.
Proficiency in environmental analytics tools like Splunk and Elastic Stack, as well as multiple scripting languages (Bash, Python, PowerShell) is essential.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are needed, along with effective documentation skills.
