Description:

  • Sword Health is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to maintain the health and uptime of their services.
  • The role involves collaborating with development teams to build and operate scalable and resilient systems.
  • Responsibilities include monitoring and incident management, automation and tooling, performance optimization, security and compliance, documentation and knowledge sharing, and database management.
  • The SRE will develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions, respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
  • The position requires automating repetitive tasks, improving deployment processes, and developing tools to support infrastructure and applications.
  • The engineer will analyze system performance, implement optimizations, ensure systems are secure and compliant, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
  • The role also involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of databases, along with performing optimization and maintenance tasks.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and Javascript.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is required.
  • Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking is essential.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is necessary.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack, is required.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI, is needed.
  • Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch, is essential.
  • Candidates should be team players, willing to collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • A sense of ownership and accountability for work outcomes is expected.
