Description:
Sword Health is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to maintain the health and uptime of their services.
The role involves collaborating with development teams to build and operate scalable and resilient systems.
Responsibilities include monitoring and incident management, automation and tooling, performance optimization, security and compliance, documentation and knowledge sharing, and database management.
The SRE will develop and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions, respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
The position requires automating repetitive tasks, improving deployment processes, and developing tools to support infrastructure and applications.
The engineer will analyze system performance, implement optimizations, ensure systems are secure and compliant, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
The role also involves ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of databases, along with performing optimization and maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
Candidates must have proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, and Javascript.
A minimum of 5 years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure is required.
Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking is essential.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is necessary.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack, is required.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins and GitLab CI, is needed.
Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch, is essential.
Candidates should be team players, willing to collaborate and share knowledge with colleagues.
A sense of ownership and accountability for work outcomes is expected.
