Description:

Cision is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) who can work independently while providing mentorship and guidance to colleagues across multiple areas of technology.
The role involves ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of critical production services across various technical disciplines from design to implementation.
The Senior SRE will report to the SRE Manager and be part of a team that supports 24x7 uptime of mission-critical services and infrastructure.
The position requires contributing significant software architecture, strategy, design, and code to current or future versions of components, subsystems, systems, applications, or underlying technologies.
The Senior SRE will evaluate new technologies and software products to determine their feasibility and desirability for incorporation into the company's software systems and applications.
The role includes working with third-party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company's products.

Requirements:

Candidates should have typically 5 to 10 years of experience as an SRE, DevOps, or Software Engineer.
Expert knowledge of Kubernetes at scale and containerization technologies is required.
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform is essential.
Good programming ability in an Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) language and the ability to write scripts are necessary.
Candidates must have expert and up-to-date knowledge of security best practices across all disciplines.
Expertise in AWS and/or GCP is required.
Strong knowledge of metrics/monitoring and alerting using tools like Prometheus and Grafana is essential.
A strong understanding of networking fundamentals is necessary.
Commitment to standardization and documentation is required.
Strong Linux experience is essential.
Experience with software delivery automation, CI/CD, and SDLC is required.
Knowledge of Static and Dynamic Application Security Testing is necessary.
Familiarity with SRE principles such as SLI, SLO, SLA, Toil, Uptime, and Observability is required.
Advantageous but not essential skills include knowledge of Elasticsearch, Kafka, MySQL/Postgres, Windows, and Redis.
