Requirements:

  • Proven exposure to managing and deploying cloud infrastructure with code is expected.
  • Practical knowledge of Linux networking, routing, and firewalls is needed.

  • Extensive knowledge of cloud computing concepts and technologies is necessary.
  • A Bachelor's degree or greater, preferably in computer science or a related engineering field, is required.

  • A willingness to be flexible and learn new things quickly is essential.
  • You should be inspired by the needs of fast-changing environments and be happy to work within distributed teams.
  • A passion for and familiarity with open-source, especially Ubuntu or Debian, is required.

Benefits:

  • The position offers a fully remote working environment, as Canonical has been remote-first since 2004.
  • A personal learning and development budget of 2,000 USD per annum is provided.
  • There is an annual compensation review to ensure competitive pay.

  • There is an opportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues at ‘sprints’.
  • A Priority Pass for travel and travel upgrades for long-haul company events is included.
