Remote Senior Site Reliability/DevOps Engineer

• The Senior Site Reliability/DevSecOps Engineer will help develop, scale, and operate cloud services.
• This role involves implementing and executing best practice operations and improvements across teams, providing visibility and recommendations for enhanced reliability and automation.
• Responsibilities include ensuring security, availability, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, capacity planning, back-up, and disaster recovery of the technical ecosystem.
• The engineer will drive automation and build a robust and agile DevSecOps framework.

Requirements:

• Candidates must design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure infrastructure using AWS.
• Experience in developing and managing infrastructure as code using Terraform is required.
• Candidates should implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and ensure smooth application delivery.
• Monitoring system performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve reliability and performance is essential.
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and performing root cause analyses for incidents while minimizing service disruption is required.
• Collaboration with development teams to ensure applications are designed for reliability and performance is necessary.
• Working experience with Shell Scripting (Bash), Python, or equivalent is required.
• Good knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java is necessary.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef is required.
• Candidates must implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure infrastructure health and performance.
• Adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements is essential.
• A can-do attitude, challenging the status quo, and contributing to key improvements and innovations while maintaining accountability is required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in US English for working across a global team environment are necessary.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
• Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
• AWS, GCP, and/or Azure certification is required.
• 3+ years of Kubernetes experience is necessary.
• 3+ years of experience managing Linux-based systems in a public cloud such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
• 3+ years of experience with systems monitoring and logging; knowledge of ELK is preferred.
• A solid understanding of standard TCP/IP networking and common protocols like DNS, load balancers, and HTTP is necessary.
• Candidates must be US citizens or permanent residents capable of obtaining a Government Security clearance if required and must live and work from the US. Green card holders qualify, but H1B or other work visa holders do not qualify for this role.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this role is $175,000 - $200,000 depending on experience.
• This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work location.
