Description:
The Senior Software Architect at PointClickCare will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.
They will drive technical feasibility analysis for projects, identify and mitigate risks, and select appropriate technologies and frameworks to shape the overall architecture.
This role involves leading and mentoring engineering teams, defining strategic architecture vision, and aligning software architecture with organizational technology strategy.
Responsibilities include collaborating with product and engineering teams, designing for non-functional requirements, estimating resources, producing technical documentation, researching new software/tools, defining best practices, reviewing designs and code, and providing technical mentoring.
The position also involves analyzing legacy code and planning enhancements for maintainability and non-functional requirements.
Requirements:
Solid experience in designing large-scale web-based software products and collaborating with a team for development and deployment.
Experience in developing and deploying complex systems in Azure or another public cloud provider.
Familiarity with technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Avro, JavaScript, MySQL, and Gradle.
Prior experience with high-throughput healthcare information systems using HL7 or FHIR, or analogous integrations in other domains.
Strong analytical, planning, and diagnostic abilities.
Excellent communication skills, including active listening, speaking, writing, and diagramming.
Interpersonal skills to build consensus and promote understanding and adoption of architectural strategy.
Knowledge of object-oriented design principles, software design patterns, and architectural patterns.
Ability to apply research, data, experience, and intuition to find innovative yet pragmatic solutions.
Benefits:
Base salary range of $162,000 - $181,000 per year, plus bonus and benefits.
