• Mattermost provides secure, workflow-centric collaboration for technical and operational teams that need to meet nation-state-level security and trust requirements.

• The role is for a Senior Software Design Engineer who is strong with Go and SQL and can work collaboratively on a fast-paced team.
• The engineer will own their projects end to end and find creative solutions to solve hard customer problems.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and shipping bespoke features and integrations for top customers, understanding their requirements, and rapidly iterating to develop solutions.
• The engineer will identify future features to bring into the core Mattermost product and work with the product and engineering team.
• The role involves utilizing deep technical knowledge of software engineering, database, infrastructure, and networking to guide customers deploying Mattermost to large scale and highly resilient on-prem installations and private cloud (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• The engineer will support leaders in various industries, including tech, space, financial, and federal sectors.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in designing and developing software using Go, SQL, and Typescript/React is required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are necessary, with the ability to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with database performance analysis is essential.
• An understanding of the challenges in deploying high availability installations of enterprise software supporting large numbers of users is required.
• A deep understanding of infrastructure and networking concepts, with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex deployments, is necessary.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $127,000 - $170,000 a year.
