Remote Senior Software Design Engineer, Customer Solutions (Remote)

Description:

• Mattermost provides secure, workflow-centric collaboration for technical and operational teams that need to meet nation-state-level security and trust requirements.
• The company serves technology, public sector, national defense, and financial services industries with customers ranging from tech giants to the world’s largest banks, to the U.S. Department of Defense and governmental agencies around the world.
• The role involves working closely with Mattermost’s top customers to design, build, and ship bespoke features and integrations that help them maximize their use of Mattermost.
• Responsibilities include building custom software solutions using primarily Go and SQL, driving complex deployments, providing deployment and upgrade guidance, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve deployment processes.
• The position requires collaboration with other engineering and product teams and assisting Customer Success and Support teams with troubleshooting and incident response.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to own projects end to end and find creative solutions to solve challenging customer problems.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in designing and developing software using Go, SQL, and Typescript/React is required.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are necessary for effective collaboration with customers and internal teams.
• Familiarity with database performance analysis is essential.
• A solid understanding of the challenges involved in deploying high availability installations of enterprise software supporting large numbers of users is required.
• A deep understanding of infrastructure and networking concepts, with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex deployments, is necessary.

Benefits:

• The salary range for this position is $127,000 - $170,000 a year.
