Description:

• Wealthsimple is seeking a Senior Software Developer for their Data Delivery team, which is part of the Platform Engineering team.
• The role involves designing, administering, and maintaining data stores, including data replication processes and Oracle EBS administration.
• Responsibilities include developing ETL pipelines, integrations, and data validation reconciliation tools.
• The candidate will partner with stakeholders across different product domains and infrastructure to address data-related technical problems at scale.
• The position requires designing, building, and launching data pipelines to move data across Wealthsimple's platform using API and SQL/PostgreSQL technologies.
• The developer will ensure the reliability, security, and performance of integration solutions through rigorous testing and quality assurance.
• The role includes creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation and ensuring data store scalability through proactive analysis and capacity planning.
• The position offers a significant amount of autonomy to set the technical direction for scalable projects.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a data developer, which may include roles in solutions architecture, software engineering, or software development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience in data transformation is required.
• Experience with Redis, Enterprise Redis, AWS Elasticache, and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB is necessary.
• The ability to organize and consolidate customer data from various formats and source applications is essential.
• Candidates should have experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
• Hands-on knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform is required.
• A working knowledge of Postgres databases is necessary.
• The ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions is essential.
• Experience in designing and implementing high-performance systems with reliable monitoring and logging is required.
