Remote Senior Software Developer

Description:

• The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for creating and maintaining Business Wire’s frontend web applications, backend APIs, and press release processing system.
• They will collaborate with various teams to develop complex applications and ensure code quality through code reviews.
• The role involves identifying and addressing performance bottlenecks, providing operational support, and suggesting improvements to existing applications.
• The developer will also work on CI/CD pipelines using modern orchestration and containerization tools, develop tests, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a computer-related field is required.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in full-stack web development.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in RESTful API development.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in modern frontend web development using React.js or similar libraries.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with Node.js ecosystem and Express.js or similar frameworks.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, ECS, S3, CloudWatch, or equivalent services.
• Experience with data modeling, CI/CD automation, modern DevOps technologies, Git, and branching strategies.
• Java development experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
