Description:

  • Vidyard is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the Core Team, responsible for critical services like encoding, dashboard, chrome extension, mobile app, captions, thumbnails, and AI integrations.
  • The role involves collaborating with a cross-functional team to address customer challenges and deliver exceptional software solutions.
  • The position is remote and open to candidates in Canada.
  • The Core Team is divided into Scale Stream and Tech Stream, with the current hiring focus on the Scale Stream.
  • The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of experience in software engineering, be a generalist across the software stack, excel in agile environments, possess strong communication skills, and drive improvements in quality and performance.
  • Additional desired qualities include lean thinking, experimental mindset, willingness to mentor junior developers, and experience with Generative AI or AI tooling.
  • The tech stack includes Git, testing frameworks like RSpec and Jest, front-end stacks like Vue.js and React.js, server technologies such as Node.js and Ruby on Rails, relational databases, and microservice architectures.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in shipping user-facing, scalable web products.
  • Proficiency in both front-end and back-end development.
  • Track record of success in agile, iterative environments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive improvements in quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Lean thinking and metrics-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to mentor junior developers.
  • Experience with Generative AI or AI tooling is a bonus.
