Description:
The Senior Software Developer will be part of the Insurance Foundations team at Jane, contributing to the development of essential features that shape the insurance experience for patients and clinics.
The role involves working on the next generation of features and exploring innovative directions in the field to create a seamless and enjoyable insurance journey.
The position requires contributing to defining the technical roadmap for the platform and supporting thousands of clinics across Canada, the US, the UK, and beyond.
The team primarily works with Ruby on Rails, but applicants with experience in Java, C#, Python, and Go are welcome, with support provided to learn Ruby if needed.
Responsibilities include hands-on coding, leading technical projects, collaborating with cross-functional groups, making effective tradeoffs, and owning the technical direction for the Insurance Foundations.
Requirements:
Proficiency in modern frontend technologies like React, Typescript, and bundling tools.
Experience in systems design, dealing with technical complexities, and applying API design principles.
Ability to clearly communicate technical details and maintain documentation that reduces cognitive load for the team.
Familiarity with agile methodologies for incremental delivery of value to customers and working closely with PM and UX Designer.
Experience in developing software in regulated industries such as healthcare or payments.
