Description:

  • Vidyard is looking for a Senior Software Developer to join the Nova Team, responsible for developing the AI Avatar feature and experimental functionalities.
  • The role involves enhancing AI video creation capabilities to allow users to create AI videos using text scripts.
  • The Senior Software Developer will collaborate with a cross-functional team to address customer challenges and deliver software solutions.
  • This is a remote position open to candidates in Canada.
  • The Nova Team consists of developers, a designer, a product manager, and a software development manager focused on improving Vidyard's AI Avatar feature and implementing experimental features.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in software engineering, shipping user-facing, scalable web products.
  • Ability to work across the software stack as a generalist, with experience in front-end or back-end development.
  • Proficiency in making architectural decisions and contributing to technical strategy.
  • Strong documentation skills and commitment to maintaining technical documentation.
  • Experience with AWS services like S3, Lambda, and SQS.
  • Success in delivering initiatives in an agile, iterative environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Desire to drive improvements in quality, reliability, and performance standards.
  • Lean thinking and an experimental, metrics-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to mentor junior developers and share knowledge.
  • Experience with video effects and ffmpeg is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning technologies is a plus.
