Description:

• As a Senior Software Developer on the Platform Core team at theScore, you will design and build foundational components to enhance the reliability and scalability of backend services.
• You will create internal tools and libraries to support other backend teams, collaborate with different teams to ensure alignment with their needs, and contribute to enhancing software development practices across the organization.
• The role involves mentoring Junior and Intermediate developers and staying updated on technology trends.
• The team focuses on exploring new technologies and providing recommendations to other teams.

Requirements:

• Strong background in computer science with expertise in data structures, distributed systems, and software design.
• Ability to take on a technical leadership role with an ownership mentality.
• Problem-solving skills with a focus on finding simple solutions to complex issues.
• Emphasis on clean code architecture, software craftsmanship, and delivering well-tested features.
• Interest in designing, building, and optimizing distributed systems.
• Excellent communication skills, including technical writing abilities.
• Nice to have: Experience with functional programming, Kubernetes, Kafka, gRPC, Quarkus.
