Description:

Our team is seeking a skilled engineer to own key features and components of our Ecosystem Team.
You will participate in all phases of software development including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
Day-to-day activities include designing and developing products in areas such as Spark, Splunk, Hadoop, Prometheus, and other cutting-edge technologies.
You will be responsible for unit testing and conducting code reviews.
You will design and implement effective automation tests for our CI/CD pipeline.
Instrumenting your code to collect metrics for monitoring and supportability is part of your responsibilities.
You will address issues found in the CI pipeline or production.
You will work across backend and frontend teams, infrastructure, and domain teams.
The role requires being detail-oriented with a focus on implementation excellence.

Requirements:

You must have 7+ years of hands-on experience in software development using Java, Golang, or C++.
Strong programming skills and a solid understanding of foundational aspects of computer science and object-oriented programming are required.
Experience with the Spring Framework is necessary.
Excellent system design and object-oriented design skills are essential.
You should have experience implementing REST APIs and their integrations into frontend and other services.
An understanding of networking and distributed system design is required.
Proficiency in Linux/Unix operating systems is necessary.
Strong, concise communication skills to articulate your thought process are essential.
You must have a validated ability to deliver on schedule.
A BS or MS in Computer Science is required.
Preferred skills include experience developing in Spark and Hadoop environments.
Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, or other infrastructure software is a plus.
Experience deploying a global service in AWS or Azure is preferred.
Experience working on live enterprise-grade scale services is advantageous.
An understanding of deployment issues in a complex environment, including security, networking, load balancers, service dependencies, and disaster recovery, is preferred.
Security and compliance consciousness is a plus.
