Description:
Zscaler is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Threat Hunting group and contribute to the development of platforms for identifying, classifying, detecting, and alerting on security threats in customer environments.
The role involves designing, coding, and maintaining multiple back end services in Golang.
Collaboration with the ZTH Engineering team's data-focused engineers is essential, requiring Python experience.
Responsibilities include automating build and deployment tasks, using Terraform for AWS infrastructure, creating clear specifications and diagrams, and ensuring the safety of customer systems and data through rigorous design reviews.
The position involves participating in Agile development processes and contributing to the team's culture.
Requirements:
Written communication skills equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor's degree.
5+ years of experience developing reliable, low-latency REST API services.
6+ years of software development experience with Golang, Go standard library, popular Go web frameworks, and AWS or GCP client libraries.
6+ years of experience with operation and deployment on IaaS cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
6+ years experience developing applications deployed with Linux containers on platforms such as AWS Elastic Container Service or Kubernetes.
Knowledge of core Internet networking protocols and hands-on experience with public cloud networking aspects.
Experience integrating with authentication and authorization systems, along with using database systems and AWS application integration services.
Python 3 experience and exposure to data analysis libraries.
Experience creating advanced deployments of AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies.
