Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Acquia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Subscription Management team, responsible for tools that manage entitlements and usage consumption.
• The role is remote, based in Pune, India.
• The engineer will work in a collaborative environment with front and back-end engineers, product managers, and product owners.
• Responsibilities include developing modern APIs and customer-facing UIs, designing object-oriented applications using PHP and Go, and contributing to system architecture discussions.
• The engineer will mentor junior team members, create automated tests, and participate in the entire software development lifecycle.
• The position requires producing comprehensive software documentation and providing product support to stakeholders.
• The engineer will also develop and review user interfaces using custom Angular/React components.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5-7+ years of experience with PHP and familiarity with design patterns.
• Experience in Agile and continuous delivery environments is required.
• Proficiency in writing unit tests and system tests is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience with modern CI/CD tooling and container-based application deployment using Docker or similar runtimes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, particularly in transforming product requirements into development plans.
• Extra credit will be given for experience with Design by Contract, Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, additional programming languages (especially Go), Drupal development, AWS services, and modern Javascript frameworks (Angular/React) and TypeScript.
