Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Software Engineer at impact.com, you will focus on delivering epics for the product team by planning, designing, implementing, testing, and deploying.
• You will work independently to define cloud services, implement new libraries and APIs, and solve problems.
• Experience across multiple languages with practical knowledge of architectural patterns, testing frameworks, and integration testing is required.
• You will collaborate with a distributed team, write and maintain documentation, triage bugs, build customer-facing code, and support testing processes.
• Responsibilities also include reviewing business needs, responding to alerts, performing code reviews, researching new technologies, and maintaining technical documentation.
• You are expected to contribute to creative solutions, follow technology trends, and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Requirements:

• Experience in fast-paced engineering teams, with startup experience being beneficial.
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in Java 8+, SQL, Unix shell commands, version control, Spring MVC, HTTP/Rest protocols, CI tools, JVM, Data lakes, and Cloud Computing.
• Proficiency in Java, Spring, Agile/Iterative processes, relational databases, CI/CD methods, large-scale processing, and Google Cloud technologies.
• Exposure to front-end technologies and ownership of larger work pieces.
• Proven track record of influencing architecture and inter-disciplinary dependencies.
