Description:
Contribute to, maintain, and improve software related to EV routing for Mapbox.
Work in a team dedicated to developing and operating web services for Mapbox's strategic navigation initiatives for Electric Vehicles (EVs).
Design and implement scalable services for API and routing engine tiers, focusing on deployment, resilience, and observability.
Shape internal tools and automations to enhance engineering processes.
Drive the design and development of services quality metrics and analytics.
Run experiments to evaluate the quality, reliability, and capacity requirements of user-facing navigation products.
Participate in end-to-end feature implementation within the navigation team, including code reviews, feature releases, and on-call rotation.
Write performant algorithms, create maintainable code, design platform services and SDKs, and conduct comprehensive testing.
Contribute to code and design reviews, estimate task efforts, and deliver quality results aligned with the Navigation EV team roadmap.
Utilize various software development tools such as Spark, Airflow, Hive, Glue, node.js, React, SQL, NoSQL, AWS, ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, DynamoDB, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned within the area of responsibility.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of software engineering experience.
3 years of experience with at least three of the following: Spark, Airflow, Hive, Glue, node.js, React, SQL, NoSQL, AWS, ECS, CloudFormation, Lambda, and/or DynamoDB.
3 years of experience with Platform and Backend Service Development.
Any amount of experience with Ecommerce.
Ability to work remotely from anywhere within the US with 5% Domestic and International Travel.

Competitive annual base compensation ranging from $167,025 - $225,975 for most US locations.
Compensation may be 5% to 10% higher for US locations with a higher cost of labor.
