Description:
SevenRooms is hiring a remote Senior Software Engineer focused on improving the reliability, performance, and scale of their product.
The role involves engineering highly performant, mission-critical systems designed for agile development and rapid scaling.
The engineer will collaborate with other engineers, product managers, and designers to create real solutions that empower SevenRooms for growth.
The position is part of a team of over 70 engineering professionals and reports directly to the VP of Engineering.
The 7R Technology organization aims to build products that help restaurants create magical experiences every day.

Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software with a focus on customer-facing features.
The engineer will be the technical owner of features from design to implementation and ongoing support.
The role requires managing individual project priorities, deadlines, code quality, and deliverables, along with occasional on-call duties.
Requirements:
A BS degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field of study, or equivalent professional experience is required.
Candidates must have experience developing web applications.
Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, complexity analysis, and software design is necessary.
A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience is required.
Willingness and desire to work in Python, Rust, and Kotlin is essential; prior experience in these languages is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience with scaling problems, data modeling at scale, and performance issues is preferred.
