Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Dutchie is a technology platform that supports dispensary operations and provides safe access to cannabis for consumers.
• The Senior Software Engineer will join the pricing and discounts team to enhance the Ecommerce product and integrate it with the point of sale system.
• Responsibilities include contributing to core applications in Ruby on Rails, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and React within high-scale distributed systems.
• The role involves collaborating with the Product team, mentoring other engineers, planning work, and contributing to the company culture.
• The ideal candidate will have deep backend server language understanding, experience with Ruby and databases, and a track record of writing clean, tested, and organized code.
• Other requirements include being a self-starter, quick learner, and having excellent communication skills.
• The position requires at least 8 years of development experience.

Requirements:

• Deep understanding of backend server languages and software best practices.
• Experience with Ruby, relational and non-relational databases, and distributed systems.
• Ability to design and extend scalable data models and data stores.
• Proven track record of writing clean, tested, and organized code.
• Self-starter with the ability to work proactively.
• Quick learner who can adapt to new frameworks and technologies.
• Excellent communication skills.

• Minimum of 8 years of development experience.
