Description:
ModMed is seeking a driven Senior Software Engineer to join their Product Development team in Boca Raton, FL.
The role involves leading architecture and design efforts to align with scalability and business objectives.
Responsibilities include providing mentorship, setting technical direction, and driving excellence within the team.
The engineer will establish a technical roadmap with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals.
The position requires simplifying complex requirements into manageable deliverables and milestones through technical specifications.
The engineer must ensure deliverables meet both functional and non-functional criteria and proactively drive changes when outcomes are misaligned.
Promoting a culture of continuous improvement by guiding other engineers through design, code, and operational reviews is also a key responsibility.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 10+ years of software development experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Deep and extensive experience with Java, Spring Boot, and SQL is essential.
A solid understanding of microservices and REST API standards is required.
Experience in writing Unit and API tests is necessary.
Familiarity with public cloud services, preferably AWS, is expected.
Full stack technical leadership experience (backend, frontend, operations) is a plus.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and operating modern cloud-native, fault-tolerant distributed services is required.
The ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across functional lines is essential.
Exceptional strategic thinking and technical expertise, with the ability to align technology with business objectives, is necessary.
SaaS development experience is preferred.
