Description:
Parcel Tracker is a leading company in next-generation logistics and parcel management software, logging over 5 million parcels a year.
The company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to manage, develop, and innovate their backend infrastructure.
The role involves designing and implementing new features that require high scalability and developing integrations with customer systems and internal tools.
Responsibilities include technical leadership, collaborative architecture, code development and review, performance optimization, CI/CD implementation, data management, monitoring and maintenance, documentation and knowledge sharing, technology evaluation, and a customer-centric focus.
Requirements:
Proficiency in the .NET framework is required.
A strong command of SQL Server, including database design, optimization, and query performance tuning, is necessary.
Extensive experience in architecting scalable systems is essential, demonstrating the ability to design robust, high-performance solutions.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
A deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their complexities is required.
Preferred qualifications include proven experience in building CI/CD pipelines, a solid understanding of full-text search mechanisms, knowledge of distributed systems architecture, and familiarity with Terraform and Azure.
Non-technical competencies include the ability to work autonomously, proficiency in English communication, informed design decision-making, ownership of work, and availability for at least 5 hours of overlap with UK working hours.
