Description:
Zscaler is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a new team focused on building a product from the ground up for cloud native platforms.
The role involves contributing to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including design, implementation, documentation, deployment, and operations.
The engineer will participate in design and architecture discussions and understand implementation tradeoffs.
Responsibilities include writing high-quality, efficient, testable code, and helping to define team standards in development and system design.
Conducting code and design reviews is also a key part of the role.
The engineer will partner with a product manager and the team to iteratively deliver the product to customers.
Requirements:
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including knowledge of their security services and best practices is required.
Experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) and container infrastructure is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with RDBMS, Time series Data Bases, and Pub Sub Systems.
Development experience in Go, Python, and Rust is essential.
Familiarity with cloud-native observability and management tools is preferred.
Familiarity or experience with eBPF is a plus.
Experience operating, maintaining, and deploying production applications is desired.
A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a public cloud environment, delivering complex application deployments, and conducting cloud native application development is required.
