Description:

  • Concord is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their Platform Engineering team.
  • The team focuses on delivering scalable and secure shared services across a suite of tax and accounting products in North America.
  • Responsibilities include designing and maintaining Azure-based IaaS/PaaS platforms, troubleshooting complex issues, and building containerized application deployments.
  • The role involves contributing to the development of RESTful APIs, ensuring automated test coverage, and supporting configuration-as-code efforts.
  • The engineer will respond to customer-reported escalations, address security vulnerabilities, and resolve issues flagged by various tools.
  • Participation in evening software releases may be required to oversee successful deployment.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have strong troubleshooting skills across network, application, hardware, and service layers, with experience maintaining and troubleshooting production systems.
  • Knowledge of Azure architecture, Azure Kubernetes Services, and container orchestration is essential.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core, ASP.NET, WCF, WPF, Web API, and PowerShell is required.
  • Exposure to Angular or modern JavaScript front-end frameworks and technologies (HTML5, CSS, JS) is necessary.
  • Experience with security tooling and basic remediation practices is expected.
  • Candidates should have knowledge of authentication/identification concepts and their interaction with APIs.
  • Solid SQL Server experience, including basic performance tuning and schema familiarity, is required.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation is necessary.
  • Candidates should have experience with platform migrations or modernization within existing applications.
  • Understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architecture patterns is essential.
