Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Contentful, you will shape the future of digital content by empowering marketing teams to create impactful digital experiences at scale.
• You will autonomously solve customer problems by leading the design, development, and delivery of business-critical features using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• You will demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit by setting ambitious execution goals and managing timelines while maintaining a balance between speed and quality.
• You will lead group-level product initiatives that span across multiple systems and actively contribute to product-level vision discussions.
• You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to build best-in-class solutions while guiding and delegating tasks to other engineers.
• You will effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through briefs, RFCs, and architecture diagrams.
• You will lead technical design decisions with a focus on scalability and maintainability, proactively identifying and mitigating technical risks.
• You will organize large initiatives into iterations to maximize parallel execution across the team.
• You will define the holistic architectural North Star for the product and enable architectural pivots by attaching refactors to adjacent product deliverables.
• You will drive the integration of AI technologies into the platform, identifying opportunities for new features and leading green-field solution development.

Requirements:

• You must have extensive full stack expertise with a proven track record as a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, particularly with TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• You should have demonstrable leadership experience in a senior role, such as a tech lead, showing ownership and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
• A solid background in automated testing, including both unit and end-to-end tests using frameworks like Jest and Playwright is required.
• You must have experience with containerization and orchestration, specifically with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is necessary.
• Preferred qualifications include previous experience in AI-based feature development, building no-code tools, understanding CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies, and experience working with distributed teams.
• Prior early-stage startup experience is a significant plus.
