The Senior Software Engineer will join the Billing, Auth & Fraud Prevention team to develop a billing and payment processing system and fraud detection systems.
Responsibilities include contributing to high throughput postage and SaaS billing systems, fraud prevention systems, and authentication and security systems.
The engineer will build tools to improve internal processes, participate in on-call support rotation, and work with the product team to refine new products and capabilities.
The role involves leading large projects, setting high standards for engineering practices, and monitoring KPIs for system performance and quality.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field, preferably in computer science or software engineering, is required.
A minimum of 7+ years of experience in software development is necessary.
Candidates must have experience in building and maintaining highly available, distributed, and scalable systems.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting is required.
Effective communication skills to engage with stakeholders across different organizations within the company are essential.
An understanding of team dynamics and a desire to improve team processes is important.
Bonus points for experience in building and maintaining billing and invoicing systems, fraud detection and prevention, authentication and security practices, and familiarity with Python or Go.
