Description:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of the Runtime Insights Team, focusing on leveraging runtime data to enhance Snyk's products.
Your responsibilities will include building runtime capabilities, designing and maintaining systems for capturing and processing runtime data, and providing actionable insights for vulnerability prioritization and remediation.
You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across Snyk.
The role involves end-to-end ownership of key efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and resolving customer support escalations.
Requirements:
You must have at least 5 years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer.
Experience in large-scale software systems design and familiarity with fundamental computer science concepts is required.
Proficiency in at least one core programming language (Go, TypeScript) is necessary, along with a willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
A deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, language runtimes, and networking is essential.
Knowledge of different language ecosystems and instrumentation techniques is advantageous.
Experience in building highly reliable, scalable microservice back-ends or large-scale systems is required.
You should demonstrate effective software testing skills and a strong commitment to code quality.
The ability to deal with ambiguity and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, is crucial.
You should be able to mentor junior engineers and enhance team performance.
