Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Seeking a senior/principal software engineer to take ownership of the core user-facing app.
• Thrive in a small team environment, making decisions on thoughtful development versus rapid deployment.
• Shape the direction and architecture of the app and backend data infrastructure with autonomy and responsibility.
• Collaborate with the engineering team on the main user-facing app.
• Design and execute solutions across frontend to backend, leveraging autonomy and responsibility.
• Contribute to refining coding standards, processes, and overall software development improvement.

Requirements:

• 6+ years as a professional software engineer, specializing in frontend or full-stack development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with React or similar frontend frameworks (Angular, Vue, etc.).
• Proficiency in building backend APIs to support frontend requirements.
• Track record of building, designing, or maintaining sizable and complex systems (either frontend or backend).
• Experience in mentoring junior engineers.
• Passion for crafting functional and visually appealing frontend experiences.
• Understanding of code maintainability, refactoring, testing, and tech debt management.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, make independent decisions, and tackle business problems with technology.
• Eye for design, with the ability to create aesthetically pleasing interfaces.
• Previous startup experience or familiarity with tech stack: React, TypeScript, Kubernetes, XState, GraphQL, Python.
