Description:

  • Magnet Forensics is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their team in Waterloo, Ottawa, or Ontario.
  • The company is a global leader in digital investigative software development for acquiring, analyzing, and sharing evidence from various devices.
  • The role involves participating in support calls, troubleshooting customer environment problems, developing production code, and creating technical documentation.
  • The engineer will work in a small team, take ownership of code quality, provide technical leadership, and collaborate actively with team members.
  • The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience, a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience, proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like C# and .Net, and experience in AWS/Azure ecosystem.
  • Additional skills such as experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm chart, Linux, Python, and front-end technologies like React/Typescript are considered assets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages like C# and .Net.
  • Experience in AWS/Azure ecosystem.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to overcome challenges.
  • Experience in Kubernetes, Terraform, Helm chart, Linux, Python is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a distributed team.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and collaboration skills.
