Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for developing and deploying web-based applications for Brightcove.
They will provide operational support for Brightcove applications and work in an agile environment with a team of engineers to create new products and services.
The role involves building support for AI company initiatives by collaborating with product management and overseeing technical aspects of large enterprise-level projects.
The engineer will develop clean, high-quality code, work in a full-stack development environment, and ensure the technical insight during the planning of cross-functional application development.
Requirements:
5+ years of front-end software engineering experience working with Javascript.
2+ years of experience working with React.
1+ years of experience working with NodeJS, Express, & Mongo.
1+ years developing containerized, self-scaling backend infrastructure.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (e.g., CI/CD, Terraform).
Implement best practices for security, performance, and scalability.
Experience with continuous integration and deployment infrastructure for web applications and services.
Familiarity with Linux, REST, and API design.
Strong interest in working on a product where UI and user experience are significant components.
Ability to collaborate effectively with other software engineers, user experience designers, product/program managers, and engineering leadership.
Ability to set and maintain high standards of quality and customer value.
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, e.g., Computer Science, Math, Physics.
