Description:
Symbio is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Connect division in Sydney.
The role involves designing, building, maintaining, and supporting next-generation platforms.
This is a full stack, hands-on position focused on developing new features that meet customer and business needs.
The Senior Software Engineer will report to the Lead Software Engineer and will adhere to best practices and agile processes.
Responsibilities include problem-solving, collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing scalable software solutions, and managing software development projects.
The engineer will communicate with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates, drive continuous improvement, and stay updated with emerging technologies.
The role also includes conducting code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards, and mentoring junior developers.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering is necessary.
Strong experience in Java/Golang and microservices is essential.
Candidates should have exposure to large-scale distributed systems.
Knowledge of high throughput microservice-based architectures is required.
Experience with AWS or other cloud technologies, including understanding the cost implications of cloud tech choices, is necessary.
Familiarity with ReactJS and/or GraphQL is a plus.
