Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Swing Education is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I to join their engineering team and work on features for the school and substitute teacher marketplace.
• The role involves modernizing and reimagining the codebase, infrastructure, processes, and products to support Swing Education's mission of ensuring uninterrupted learning in K-12 classrooms.
• The position is full-time and remote, offering the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and supportive Product, Design, and Engineering team.
• Responsibilities include fostering a collaborative environment, ensuring code quality, crafting technical specifications, mentoring others, and building products that benefit users.
• The technology stack includes TypeScript, React for front-end, AWS for cloud services, and Gitlab CI/CD, Ionic Appflow for CI/CD.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of full stack software development experience.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and designing software solutions.
• Experience with REST APIs, front-end development using modern frameworks, and collaborating in a remote environment.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, CI/CD tools, and agile development.
• Ability to lead projects, mentor others, and become a domain expert in technical and business areas.
• Nice to have: experience with UI component libraries, EdTech/startup/online marketplace background, web accessibility principles, and Clojure/Lisp dialects.
