Remote Senior Software Engineer

• Rockbot is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their remote team in the United States

• Responsibilities include developing and maintaining high-quality, scalable software components, identifying performance issues, working closely with cross-functional teams, making impactful decisions on product and code architecture, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to technical discussions
• The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of backend software development experience, 2+ years of frontend software development experience, and expertise in deploying large-scale applications, designing RESTful APIs, working with large datastores, and deploying applications on cloud hosting providers
• Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and attention to detail are required
• The compensation band for this role is $140K to $220K base, plus equity and benefits

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend software development experience using Golang or similar
• 2+ years of frontend software development experience with Vue, React, or similar
• Experience in deploying large-scale applications in a CI/CD pipeline
• Proficiency in designing and building RESTful APIs
• Ability to work directly with design/product teams to build product requirements
• Familiarity with working with large datastores, cache systems, high traffic, high availability systems, and cloud hosting providers
• Knowledge of mobile software development (Native, React Native, or similar)
• Strong communication, teamwork skills, and attention to detail
• Proactive problem-solving skills and initiative to improve processes and outcomes
