Description:
Protegrity is seeking a passionate and self-driven Senior Software Engineer to join their team.
The role involves making design choices, collaborating across teams, and overseeing Protegrity platform development according to the architecture.
The engineer will make amendments to architecture based on industry demands and evolving system changes.
Key responsibilities include collaborating and sharing design ideas with other architects and senior engineers in product teams.
The position requires contributing to cutting-edge research, design, and development in a fast-paced Agile environment.
The ideal candidate should enjoy building technology and be excited about participating in the end-to-end product delivery life cycle.
Responsibilities include utilizing technology and innovative methodologies to create functional designs, participating in product specification development, and ensuring system integration and performance expectations.
The engineer will work with stakeholders to determine needs for new product features and releases, mentor product teams, and adhere to process, quality, and security guidelines.
Adaptability to learn and enhance skills in data security and the product’s technical environment is essential.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of post-bachelor’s degree experience in software development.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in design, development, and integration of application software using Python/Django and Linux is required.
A good understanding of Linux OS, internals, and Shell Scripting concepts is necessary.
Exposure to microservices and understanding of containerized platforms like Kubernetes or Openshift is preferred.
Experience with back-end programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java is required.
Knowledge of public cloud technologies like AWS, GCP, or Azure is essential.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and profiling skills are necessary, along with the ability to review peers' work.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for effective collaboration with teammates.
Additional preferred skills include knowledge of operating systems internals, software performance measurement, software security requirements, and experience with CI/CD pipelines and software test automation.
