Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Mangomint is a fast-growing Series B stage SaaS company providing next-generation software tailored for salons and spas.
• The platform is utilized by over 10,000 salon and spa professionals in the U.S. and Canada for appointment booking, staff management, payment processing, and more.
• The company is fully remote with occasional in-person meetups and offers a collaborative and hard-working environment.
• The role of Senior Software Engineer involves working on all aspects of the system (backend, frontend, and infrastructure), developing new features, enhancing stability and performance, scaling existing systems, and building new systems.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with product leadership, engineers, and designers, designing and maintaining core data models and systems, debugging production issues, and improving engineering standards and processes.
• Technologies involved include Kotlin/JVM, PostgreSQL, AWS (RDS, SQS, Lambda, EC2/EB), Typescript, React, and Sass/CSS.
• While experience with the technology stack is beneficial, the focus is on general engineering skills and the ability to adapt to new languages and technologies quickly.

Requirements:

• Senior-level experience in a programming language like Kotlin, C#, Java, or Ruby.
• Enjoyment in working on both frontend and backend tasks to solve problems and enhance user experiences.
• Experience in developing software and systems that balance simplicity, flexibility, and maintainability.
• Ability to excel in a collaborative environment, working with teammates, stakeholders, and customers.
• Capability to manage projects from inception to completion involving various technologies and systems.
• Skill in integrating different services and processes, even if unfamiliar with them.
• Empathy towards users and dedication to crafting exceptional experiences.
• Capacity to evaluate tradeoffs among technical, business, and customer priorities.
• Commitment to upholding best practices in engineering, security, and design.
