Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer at Datacom in Tauranga, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand, is responsible for developing and maintaining applications software, with a focus on writing code/programming.
• Responsibilities include leading and guiding development teams, designing, coding, testing, and installing applications programs, developing solution operating and system documentation, evaluating applications requirements, ensuring systems are developed within budgets and time frames, and achieving necessary design and systems security standards.
• The role also involves overseeing the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs, completing documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, monitoring system performance and availability, installing, testing, and maintaining new or modified systems software, and analyzing and rectifying operating systems problems.

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of various software and performance monitoring techniques, strong financial management practices, and at least 7 years of experience in Software Development, with an advantage of 1 year at a large IT site.
• Advanced skills in major programming languages such as Reactjs, JavaScript, .Net, C#, PowerShell, and SQL development tools, as well as knowledge of Azure, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and Sharepoint.
• Ability to understand user needs and develop well-designed programs, good time and resource management skills, proven analytical and problem-solving skills, effective customer relationship building and management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Consultative and planning skills, ability to escalate with a solution focus.
