Description:

Trilogy Federal is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical development of solutions within the Ask VA platform.
The role involves ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of software systems.
The engineer will contribute to system design, coding, and DevSecOps processes as part of an agile team delivering value to veterans and VA personnel.
Primary responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and deploying scalable software systems and APIs.
The engineer will collaborate with architects, product managers, and designers to define requirements and technical solutions.
The role requires leading code reviews and maintaining high code quality and engineering standards.
The engineer will implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and secure delivery.
Ensuring applications meet federal security, privacy, and accessibility requirements is essential.
The engineer will participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production issues.
Contributing to architectural decisions and mentoring junior engineers is also part of the role.
Please note that this position is contingent upon award in June/July 2025.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 8+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably with modern web technologies.
Experience or expertise in developing applications that integrate with MS Dynamics is necessary.
Proficiency in languages such as JavaScript (React/Node), Python, Java, or similar is required.
Strong knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools is essential.
Experience with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is required.
A working knowledge of RESTful API development and integration is necessary.
Familiarity with security and compliance standards, including Section 508, is required.
Experience in an agile team using tools like Git, Jira, and Jenkins is essential.
