Remote Senior Software Engineer at Wisdom

Description:

Wisdom is seeking Senior Software Engineers to join their tech team and contribute to the early stages of their product development.
The role involves building and iterating on the company's initial technical products, working closely with a small team of engineers, and writing code for both front- and backend development.
The tech stack includes Node and React in Typescript, with a Postgres database, hosted in AWS.
This fully remote position reports to the Head of Engineering, Thomas Huston, and is open to candidates anywhere in the US.
Responsibilities include building software from scratch, working on existing products, designing database schemas, deploying cloud infrastructure, and creating integrations with dental insurance carriers and practice management systems.
Collaboration with dental billers and clients to understand their challenges and improve workflows is a key aspect of the role.
The position also involves tackling ambiguous problems and contributing to the engineering team's culture and best practices.

Minimum of 5 years of software engineering development experience.
Proficiency in a web stack language (Typescript/Javascript, Python, C#) with a willingness to work in Typescript.
Experience in designing and scaling databases like Postgres.
Proficiency in building infrastructure on cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
Strong product mindset and high user empathy.
Demonstrated autonomy, ownership, curiosity, and a willingness to learn from mistakes.
